Ashmanhaugh is a small village in North Norfolk situated 2 miles from Wroxham and very close to Wroxham Barns. There is a small Norman Church, which, it is thought, has the smallest round tower in Norfolk. The old school is now a community hall which is called the Preston Rooms. There are many functions held here to raise funds both for the Preston Rooms and the Church and the facilities are enjoyed by several clubs and societies. The hall is also available for hire for your own special occasion. On Church road, Ashmanhaugh Cricket Club can be seen playing regularly through the summer on Saturdays and Sundays. Last year, the first team were promoted to the Norfolk Alliance and the second 11 also gained promotion.

There are seven members of the Parish Council and, together with the Parish Clerk meet alternate months throughout the year. The meetings are always on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm and are held in the Preston Rooms. Press and Public are always welcome at the meetings. The first 15 minutes are given to the Public to raise any points they would like to bring to the attention of the Council.
