Despite rejection from over 100 local residents, Thetford Town Council and Norfolk Council, Moving Thetford Forward (Breckland Council) is still deliberating over the ridiculous plans for traffic islands and a combined cycle/pedestrian pavement along the Croxton Rd! Pressure from minority groups (note the keyword MINORITY) has seen MTF reneging on its promise to listen to the people of Thetford and to hold meaningful consultation.

Fairfields field has been improved.

Trouble at Harriet Martineau play area being tackled.

'Drinking' hotspots being tackled.

Leisure Centre approached for third time ( once by residents, once by Breckland Council, once by Residents Assoc.) and asked to clean up fields and bins. Assurances given. Watch this space!

Puffin crossing finally to be installed at end of Jan 2010. Work to last about 2-3 weeks. Good news!

MTF still not discussed shared footpath and traffic islands. Everyone says No! They are still deliberating? Why?

Leisure Centre still has some way to go to clean up its act. New manager - hope he has new broom and sweeps clean!
